This individual is passionate about providing exceptional service for guests of all ages through a wide variety of activities. The successful candidate will be welcoming, engaging and empowering. This individual will be open to change and be able to adapt quickly to the changing needs of the hotel clientele. The Guest Activities Agent will be responsible for running children's programs every weekend and be responsible for creating new and eventful activities to offer each month. Computer skills will be utilized to create programs and posters to advertise activities and festivals. This position requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently and unsupervised.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES: Answering general questions from hotel guests regarding Activities in the "Valley of Adventure" Researching (via internet/phone) a variety of activities that may be requested by guests Booking Adventures (horseback riding, rafting, etc through our partner companies, (Boundary Ranch, Kananaskis Heli Tours and Canadian Rockies Rafting) using our voucher system.  Must charge costs to guests' room Assisting guests with making their Dining and/or Spa Reservations Actively promote our Special Event Weekends and Package offerings Assisting to plan special events for Long Weekend Packages and the facilitation of such activities Ensuring the desk remains clean and presentable, including the restocking of brochures while activity information and maps are clearly displayed Embody the roll of Lobby Ambassador by actively engaging guests in all areas of the lobby and exercise "Power to Please" where applicable Facilitate a range of programs and activities for our guests including Campfires, Movie Nights, Holiday Celebrations and more Ensure materials needed for activities are fully stocked Assist in the planning and facilitating of the activities for corporate teambuilding events Assist in the training of Function Help as required to fully execute programmed activities Champion of our Kananaskis Children's Creative Center Facilitate all programs in conjunction with the Children's Creative Center Work closely with Guest Activities and Package Manager to participate in the development, presentation and execution of all Lodge Packages, Activities, Events and Group Offerings Any other tasks as required

THE KNOWLEDGE: Minimum 2 years experience in the hospitality industry Valid CPR and First Aid Training Enthusiastic, creative, positive and outgoing Passionate about creating "Above and Beyond" experiences for our guests Engaging, welcoming and empowering Extensive knowledge regarding services provided at the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis Extensive knowledge regarding the services available in the Bow Valley Personable and friendly with exceptional communication skills Ability to accept change and be extremely flexible Works well under pressure; responsible Willing to aide in the development of the position Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask Ability to work independently and unsupervised
