Heavy Duty Mechanic  

Millar Western Forest Products Ltd.’s Fox Creek, Alberta Wood Products Division is currently seeking a Certified Heavy Duty Mechanic. Reporting to the Mobile Shop Supervisor, the successful candidate will provide quality mechanical repair services to our Fox Creek solid wood operations, carrying out necessary preventative maintenance, and diagnosing and remedying malfunctions as they arise.  

The ideal candidate

The ideal applicant will have  a Heavy Duty Mechanic Trade Certification, five years of experience in an industrial setting, preferably in a sawmill environment.  Experience on CAT mobile equipment (i.e. Forklift, Loader, Skid Steer, Rock Truck, etc is an asset.  Proven troubleshooting skills and an ability to work as part of a team are essential.
